9‑Day Classic West Sichuan Loop

Jiuzhaigou is one of China's most famous scenic spots featuring mountains and waters. It forms a unique world of colourful waters with numerous alpine lakes, waterfalls and primeval forests.

Take the high‑speed train to Huanglong‑Jiuzhaigou Station in the morning, then transfer to a special vehicle for Jiuzhaigou Valley Entrance. Upon arrival, no strenuous activities will be arranged, allowing you to rest in advance and get ready for the full‑day sightseeing on the next day.

Jiuzhaigou boasts dozens of alpine lakes and waterfalls. Its lake waters display varying hues of blue and green under different light conditions, making it one of China’s most representative natural landscapes.

A full‑day tour is scheduled for today. We will take the sightseeing bus uphill and walk downhill, completing the highlight tour in the order of "Primeval Forest → Arrow Bamboo Lake → Panda Lake → Five‑Flower Lake → Pearl Shoal → Long Lake → Five‑Colored Pond → Shuzheng Valley".

The most magical feature of Huanglong lies in thousands of natural travertine coloured ponds scattered across the valley, resembling natural terraces spreading layer upon layer along the mountain slopes.

Leave Jiuzhaigou in the morning for Huanglong. Take the cable car uphill and walk downhill on foot, with key sightseeing at core sites such as the Multi‑Coloured Ponds. Afterwards, continue travelling towards Western Sichuan with no return trip to Chengdu.

Huanglong - Siguniang Mountain
Siguniang Mountain is one of the most famous snow‑mountain groups in Sichuan. Four peaks stand side by side, surrounded by forests, canyons, meadows and streams.
Upon arrival, you will visit Shuangqiao Valley according to the schedule. Boasting well‑developed scenic transportation and relatively low walking intensity, it serves as an ideal first snow‑mountain experience after entering the Western Sichuan Plateau.

Siguniang Mountain - Danba - Xinduqiao

Today’s journey takes you past snow‑capped mountains, river valleys and Tibetan villages. You may visit Jiaju Tibetan Village depending on your schedule, then cross the mountain pass to head for Xinduqiao.

Xinduqiao - Kangding

Take your time in the morning to enjoy the scenery around Xinduqiao, then head for Kangding. If weather and road conditions permit, take the more scenic Provincial Highway S434, with stops along the way such as Red Sea Lake.

Kangding - Chengdu
Zheduo Mountain is an important mountain pass from the Chengdu Plain into the Western Sichuan Plateau, and also one of the well‑known alpine landscapes along the Sichuan‑Tibet Highway.

Today we depart from Kangding and cross Zheduo Mountain. As the altitude gradually drops, snow‑capped mountains and plateau scenery fade into the distance, and we finally arrive back in Chengdu. In the evening, you can enjoy a hot pot meal to bring your Western Sichuan loop tour to a proper close.

No tight‑scheduled scenic spot visits will be arranged on the final day. You may plan your time freely according to your flight schedule.
